Pachuca has reportedly signed Moroccan forward Oussama Idrissi after he became available this season.
Dutch media, Algemeen Dagblad (AD), indicates that Christian Giménez, Santiago Giménez's father, tipped off Pachuca about the player. Following this, the Mexican club proceeded with negotiations and is believed to have secured a two-year contract with Idrissi.
Previously, Idrissi was associated with Sevilla but spent the last season on loan at Feyenoord. Although there was an option for him to stay with the Dutch club, he was overlooked due to other new signings. AD's report highlighted, "Santiago Giménez's father assists Oussama Idrissi in finding a Mexican club." They further detailed, "Oussama Idrissi has signed with Pachuca for the next two seasons after parting ways with Spanish club Sevilla."
Last season, Idrissi contributed four goals and six assists in the Eredivisie, playing 1,427 minutes.
The 27-year-old Moroccan international primarily plays as a left-winger. Pachuca has had a challenging start to the Apertura 2023, securing only six points from seven matches, placing them 16th out of 18 teams. They will conclude the 8th matchday of the tournament by hosting Santos at Estadio Hidalgo at 9:00 PM on Monday.
